# isPrep

### user.isPrep

Type: **Boolean**

Returns whether or not the current user has the **prep** role.

### Examples

```
// check to see if user has 'prep' role
if (user.isPrep)
    debug.log("User has prep role.");
```

A **role** is a security term that refers to a type of user and the set of permissions they have.
