# Updates

### Updates

The process for **updating** your apps is straightforward:

1. Make changes to your app using the [normal development process](https://docs.doc-know.com/v1/docs/getting-started). You will likely need to **save** your app many times as you iterate and test your changes. Each save will increment the **version** # of your app, but only you can access these in-between versions from the **App Simulator**.
2. When ready to release your changes to the community, click **Publish** from the **Store** tab in [App Builder](https://docs.doc-know.com/docs/app-installation). Your update is immediately available. The community will always get only the latest **published** version.

The Dr. Know platform keeps track of all the versions of your apps. This means that user content created with a previous version of your app will not break and will retain their older version. However, new user content will always benefit from the latest version.
