### tools.now

Type: **DateTime**

Returns the current **local** date and time, according to the host device.

### Examples

```
// display the current date and time in the debugger
debug.log(tools.now);
```

### Remarks

This is the current date and time of the device hosting your app instance, which is typically the local time of the user.
