Article summary

The service object provides a way to interact with the host service running your script.

Dr. Know's growing suite of services are dynamic by design and often provide a way for you to extend or modify their behavior, in realtime. They are triggered in their own unique ways, such as when a user performs a specific action within a Dr. Know product.

While some Dr. Know services run independantly, others provide ways for you to extend their capabilities via the service object inside of an associated script.

All services are configured and managed inside the Dr. Know - Admin tool, included with your Dr. Know subscription.

Learn more about these services here. Then review the documentation for each service to discover the extensible capabilities offered via the service object, when available.

Services

Services are special programs that run in the background (up in the cloud), and do not have a user interface associated with them. They are purpose driven and typically fetch, filter, organize, store, prepare, or analyze data in some way. They can also communicate with other products and services.
