Article summary

Some (but not all) of the message types supported by Dr. Know are captured. If so, we call these durable messages because they will have an audit trail that can be monitored for a period of time (typically 90 days).

To monitor or troubleshoot these messages, open Dr. Know Admin and navigate to:

Integration -> Monitor

Searching Messages

To query durable messages, specify your search filters, including: target connection, message type, date range, and your search criteria. Press *Enter *to execute your query.

Search results are displayed below the filters. The data elements displayed depends on the message type selected. Click a search result item to display its detailed properties.

Message Errors

If a message was not processed successfully, it will be because of an error. Any message that encountered an error will be highlighted in pink in your search results. Detailed error information can be found in the message's properties panel.

Pending Messages

If a message has not yet been processed by a Relay Server, it will be highlighted in green. You cannot re-process these messages yet because they are already pending processing. Pending messages are typically processed in under 1 minute.

Reprocessing Messages

You may need to reprocess messages from time to time. For example, if network connectivity went down or something else went wrong with your Relay Server or network. When necessary, select a message and press Reprocess. This will instruct the connection's Relay Server to re-fetch and re-send the message to the connected vendor.

Note: this only works for outbound message types.
