# Introduction

### Building Apps

When building apps, you will use the following tools:

- [App Builder](https://docs.doc-know.com/v1/docs/install-symmetry-pro)
- [App Simulator](https://docs.doc-know.com/v1/docs/sim-getting-started)

**App Builder** is used to define the components of your app. The **App Simulator** is used to test these components.

When your app is ready, you can publish it to the **Marketplace**, which makes it accessible to the larger community.

### Components

Below are the components that make up an app.

Apps only utilize components they need. This is both powerful and flexible, allowing different apps to target different audiences and scenarios.
