# Installing App Builder

### Installing App Builder

If you're a **Subject Matter Expert** (**SME**) and would like to develop apps for the Dr. Know community, you must first [register](https://docs.doc-know.com/v1/docs/author-registration) as an expert.

Once approved, you can install [App Builder](https://dksites.z21.web.core.windows.net/appbuilder/publish.htm) - the tool used to build, maintain, and share apps with the larger community. Once installed, refer to the rest of this documentation for help building your first app.
